History
One of the most popular Cuban cigars trademark is Cohiba. The history of these great Habanos is a very interesting one, being at the same time, the best testimony for their quality. They were discovered at the beginning of the 1960s and from that moment on, they have become Fidel Castro favorite pastime. At first, they were called Fidels cigars. For about 20 years, these cigars were reserved to Fidel Castro and a few other high Cuban officials. They used to be given as special gifts to foreign dignitaries as well. They were initially given to large production in the year 1982, the same year as the World Cup and the first releases were three Vitolas: Panetela, Corona Especial and Lancero. In the years that followed, more and more cigars were added, so that Cohiba has become one of the most beloved cigar brands in the entire world. The cigars from the Cohiba family are of different sizes, strengths and intensities, so as to cover for the most part of the demands. There are light cigars, mild, medium and really strong rolls of tobacco that will shake to the core the one that tries them. But without doubt, trying a Cohiba is a really unique experience, one that speaks for itself and recommends the name. Besides of being one of the most popular Cuban trademarks, Cohiba is also worldwide known as one of the most luxurious Cuban cigars brands that exist. But the quality of the products is really worth it.
